” I could barely believe my ears when I received a telephone call informing me of my placement in the Best in English competition.One does not often get the opportunity to spend two weeks on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean! I chose to go in early September, during the period that is called the “Indian summer” – the last warm days before the temperature drops and just the right time to enjoy the stunning views Canadian nature can provide. I can definitely recommend taking a trip to Niagara Falls and visiting the historical town of Niagara-on-the-lake. But even though this was definitely the highlight, my stay as a whole was filled with novel and exciting adventures – I think it is not an overstatement to say that those two weeks in Toronto have been a truly formative experience. ILAC itself is a dynamic environment with new people arriving every week – you can meet people from all over the world there! ”
