UPDATED PRIZE SYSTEM FOR BIE 2026

We would like to inform all participating schools and teachers that the Prize System for Best In English 2026 has been updated.

From 2026, Best In English will award students both in the overall international ranking and in selected national rankings. This change reflects the growing international character of the competition and gives more students and countries the opportunity to be recognised.

The overall winner of Best In English will continue to receive the main prize = a 2-week trip to Canada. In addition, the TOP 20 students worldwide will be awarded, regardless of nationality.

National prizes will also be awarded in countries with a sufficient number of participating schools. In countries with 100+ participating schools, the TOP 10 national students will receive prizes. In countries with 15–99 participating schools, the TOP 3 national students will receive prizes.

Please note that each student can receive only one prize. If a student qualifies for more than one prize category, they will receive the prize with the higher value.
